We have a little cattery
in Terneuzen,
the Netherlands.
Our first breed
was
a Birman,
Toschka,
later on the
first Maine Coon
came in our
house, Murphey.
Also the
beautiful breed
Somali
conquerd our
heart, so Esmée
came
to live
with us. At the
end, when we
bought our
first
Maine Coon male,
Vulcan,
we decided to
breed only one
breed,
the Maine
Coon!
However...when
Esmée, our
Somali died in
the spring of
2011, I went
surching for
another cat, no
Somali, because
Esmée was very
special to us
and can not be
replaced by
another Somali.
We fell in love
with a cinnamon
and white
British
shorthair, who
we have bought
together with
our daughter
Wendy, from
Cattery van
Didero,
who is a breeder
of this race for
many years. We
are looking
forward to work
together with
her while she
has a lot of
experience
already with
this beautifull
race.
In our cattery
are living 2 Maine Coon
females and two British
Shorthair
females from whom we
hope to have
litters once a
year.
We find
healthness very
important, so we
test all our
Maine Coon
breeding-cats on HCM (echo
and dna), PKD, HD,
PL and SMA, our
British
Shorthair on HCM
echo and PKD dna.
The HCM echo will be repeated
every year
before we plan
another litter
with them.
Kittens born
here grow up
with us in the
livingroom
together with
our 2 dogs, our
neuters
and
since februari
2008 with our
two
grandchildren.
Outside we have
1 Shetlandpony,
1 little horse
and 1 bigger
pony.
